Congrats my graduate

The day has come,
the time is now,
you have done it
you are a Graduate now,

All the sleepless nights
and stress of the tests,
anticipation of what score you got on that test,

the decisions you made thus far were good,
continue your road to success and you life will be full.

You worked hard for it,
and only you know the effort it took to get to it,

Congrats my graduate,
I'm so proud of you,
only you know the joy of today
to walk across that stage.

That stage.... when they called your name,
all you worried about is will I trip? or is this my moment of fame.

That stage is a powerful couple of seconds of your life,
let it be the motivation to want to do it again,
never stop learning,
never stop being a student,
never stop achieving your dreams and goals,

I shall see you walk across that stage again,

Tomorrow isn't promised

Today is a pleasure which are given as gift
but it can all go away before you can make your eyelid lift,

Welcome to the greatest show on earth,
often you would say,

Is it love or is it lust,
I once knew but my heart lost trust,

is it loyalty or is it their own benefit,
I once knew but I couldn't live with it,

is it the humanity of the people to be so cold,
when they are surrounded with warmth of the world,

in the coldest days you will meet the warmest people,
But bevare when the sun shines and all is warm,
will they love you,
or will you be less one.....

Three dollars

  If someone gave you three dollars and told you 
that you can buy a piece of raspberry cake so that 
you can share it with someone you care about, 
would you buy it ? 

Would you buy it if you were told that the 
conversation over that cake may not be 
filled with dreams of love but rather filled with respect,
would you want to share it with them?

What if you could for those three dollars buy
a perfect cup of coffee for yourself,
on a perfect afternoon,
while the wind playfully tosses
the beautiful yellow leaves.

Would you buy it if that cup of coffee
was the perfect break that you need
from the craziness that is going on in
your life, not for long, just for thirty minutes,
would you buy it?

If you could for those three dollars
buy three sandwiches for three hungry strangers,
on a cold rainy day, undressed and soaking wet,
while they sit on the bench pretending to wait for
a bus that will never come.

Would you buy those three sandwiches
even if you knew that the size of those
three sandwiches is a bite for each one of those strangers,
and that it will create a comfort in their bellies just for a minute,
would you buy them?

What if you were told that the
raspberry cake would save one of the most important relationships
in your life,

The coffee would save your sanity,

and the three sandwiches would only get you a simple "Thank you"

What would you use your three dollars on?

The right way

                     Don't try to touch the sunset
                             Don't try to hear the roses,
                     Don't try to smell the moment,
                           Don't try to feel the memory,
                     Don't try to see the love,

                   But instead you should always 

                    Remember the most beautiful moments,
                            Love those that should be loved,
                   Smell the most beautiful flowers,
                           Let your heart feel the most amazing feelings,

          Enjoy life, things and presence of people the way they are meant to be enjoyed!

                  
                    

Took me a while

At times in life, from strangers from the past,

I hear " You have changed"

To anyone that knows anything about growing up

this is a compliment,

When you grow up,

 you change,

you evolve,

you survive some storms,

you walk some lonely paths,

you fall but you get up right away,

you make mistakes but you learn from them,

you make wrong decisions but you own them and fix them,

you look for the best in an opportunity,

you keep going...

but you change, you become better at

whatever it is that you've wanted to grow up into

Sometimes I think of kids who didn't have 

a good role model,

whose parents never grew up or cared.

What a sad world they must have.

But happiness is a choice,

so despite all the obstacles and hardships,

if you choose not to be happy that's your own fault.

To some people I wish I could say

Good Bye and I never want to see you again,

But I don't possess that kind of strength 

so I pray to God to take those that don't mean well away,

and just like His power, the Almighty that He is,

He takes those away that don't wish me a happiness bliss.

After each one leaves, I gracefully say,

"Thank you God for taking them away"

For each person that has left my life,

three more blessings came that enriched my life. 

Life takes you places to see the beauty of the world,

the beauty of the people, 

 We live through the snow, the rain, the warmest summers,

and yet we find a way to shine, to blossom,

We find a way to change.

For better,

for grown,

so tomorrow we can raise those that 

will make this world a better place,

I looked for you during my coffee this morning

Scars

The scars on my body let me know it will rain,
the scars on my heart let me know I will enjoy it

Happiness

Choosing to say that I am happy doesn't mean that 
me or my life is perfect, 
it simply means that I CHOOSE to see the positive,
the blessings, the good in people 
and things around me.

I choose to be positive therefore I am happy. 
So when people start to poke in my life looking for
imperfections and they find them, it doesn't mean that
I am not succeeding,
it means that my sight is better than theirs,
that I will always succeed 
because I will always rather concentrate on one blessing,
than ten flaws.

I choose to be happy,
it isn't determined by the people in my life 
or any things,
it is determined by my mind, 
my decision.

No one can touch that
So while there may be lots of fallen leaves around me,
I will still choose to be the rose that I am. 
Simply happy! 

Habits

Life is series of habits, your words, your actions,
ultimately it's your decision what your habits will be,
Hope you choose them wisely

A kind giving heart is rotten
if it's accompanied by foul and rotten mouth !

Get better

Learn not to be angry with people who try to destroy your happiness, but thank them,
because when you are defending your happiness that's when you are getting better at being happy!

" I decided long ago never to walk in anyone's shadows

This verse is so meaningful, that I will just leave it at that. Not my words by any means, but today.... I needed to hear someone else's words and these were the perfect ones.

If you want to succeed, sometimes you have to separate and accelerate !  

LEARN TO LET IT GO WITHOUT LETTING GO

Before I let go.....

Very often I'm told that she will grow up in the blink of my eyes,
but before I let go of her hand there are some things I will teach her;

~ Your dreams don't have to change just because your surrounding changed,

~ What others do or say is their own decision, it isn't a reflection of you, but their own life and thoughts

~When someone hurts you, it's not because of you, it's because they are sad and hurt, a happy person never puts others down

~ People will not understand your dreams, sometimes not even support you, that means you are succeeding 

~ You are your own best friend, if you don't stand up for yourself, no one will, if you don't have self respect, no one else will, if you don't fight your own battles, no one else will

~ You will meet more fake people in this world than the real and genuine ones, treat everyone the same!

~ Never, ever, ever hold a grudge! That is the biggest prison 

~ Never be jealous of anyone, no matter how good their life may seem, trust me baby, most of them are pretending.  Love and appreciate what you have in front of you

~Never judge a person by their nationality, faith, color of skin, or anything that makes them different than you, but do keep yourself at distance from those who are not on your moral and intellectual level. 

~ Never be afraid to laugh, love or live 

~ Never forget a power of the prayer 

~ A man who loves you will change for you before you know it, the rest are lying to you.

~Always have an older wiser friend

~ Keep yourself surrounded with people who will teach you good and positive things

~Never think that you are too old or too smart to learn anything 

~Maturity is life long process, don't rush it but savor it and use it 

~ Never explain yourself to anyone who doesn't deserve it 

~Those who love you will strive not to hurt you

~ Stay away from dramatic people, they never change or grow up

~Most of the time, look at someone's parents before deciding if you want them in your close circle, crazy parents=crazy kids

~Always keep mentality of a student in life

~ Never reveal someone's secrets, no matter what happens to your relationship with that person

~ Never tell anyone any true secrets about you, they won't be a secret for too long

~ God is the only Forgiving One, people are not 

~Materialistic things come and go, so do people, but your education is the only thing that will travel with you 

~No matter how many times you get hurt, don't be afraid to love again

~ If someone hurts you once, they will do it again. forgive them and move on

~He who loves you, will always stand up for you, even if you are not around

~I gave birth to you to serve no one but God, everyone else can do it themselves, but if someone does nice things for you, return the favor twice as much 

~ Shower your friends with presents whenever you can, without expecting anything in return

~Always be loyal to people in your life, wether they are your friend or not 

~Never stoop to someone else's level only rise up

~Don't let the women in magazines be your role models, look into history books, those are the best role models

~Always know that you are beautiful, but never show that you know, be humble 

~Speak slowly, calmly and softly 

~Never forget to laugh 

~Don't follow the pact, live your own life

~Be different

~Learn as many different languages as you can

~Travel to the foreign land 

~ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS help the less fortunate, even if it's your last dime, give it to them

~Cherish someone's love towards you

~Take care of your health and your body 

~When you decide to marry, make sure that there isn't any doubts in your mind about him and him about you

~Always follow your gut, it's never wrong

~Thank God for everything!~~

~Don't ever be afraid of what's in your heart

~Know that no matter where I am, I am always with you, giving you support, strength and encouragement 

~Never let your job become your life

~Always volunteer 

~It is better to be hated by many bad people and loved by one good true person

~Never let your past destroy your future

~Make a mistake, that's how you learn, but learn from it, don't repeat it

~Find what gives you peace, and follow it 

~Marry at the age that you are ready for it, not the age that everyone else is marrying

~Learn how to cook after you get married, cooking doesn't make you a woman

~Educate yourself as long as you are alive

~Make sure you educate someone else about the things you learn

~Plant a tree, a fruit

~Love the planet Earth, and explore it, it is soooo beautiful 

~Never give up on your dreams because of others, those who love you will accept you for who you are and what you become, others can keep on going, TRUST ME BABY YOU DON'T NEED PEOPLE LIKE THAT IN YOUR LIFE

~Sometimes it's better to drink your coffee alone then with anyone

~Only invite those who you trust into your home 

~Always have honest intentions towards everyone and everything

~People will accuse you of lies and bad intentions, let them, but don't react 

~Stay away from closed minded people

~Stay away from show offs 

~Always start your day with gratitude to God and a smile on your face

~Be respectful to your elders

~Don't argue with the ignorant people

~Ask for advise from multiple people but follow your gut 

~Don't waste your time on those who don't deserve it

~It's better that you break your own heart, then to let someone else break it, you will forgive yourself easier

~Take responsibility for your own actions

~Be polite, even when having a disagreement 

~Never forget the people who helped you

~Keep close family ties, you may not always like all of them, but they do share your blood

~Never let anyone walk over you

~Always look presentable, when you feel your worst, dress your best 

~Sometimes you may have to run before you walk

~Feel the beauty of the raindrop on your face sometimes

~Believe in blessings in disguise 

~No pain, no gain

~Your mother is always right 

~Never be afraid to be who you are 

~Win a battle with yourself before you take on anyone else 

~Mind your own business

~Never start a fight with anyone first, if you are attached, wait for their third strike and punch to make them regret even walking your way ( I hope this never happens to you, but if it does, use it, unless it's a man raising his hand on you, then hit him where it hurts the most before his hand lands on you)

~Learn how to change your own tire, your own oil and battery in your own car

~Never look and be helpless

~Never show where it really hurts

~Never show what makes you upset 

~Don't be afraid to move 

~Keep your morals, vocabulary, education, and happiness very high 

~Walk your own path

And when you think you have nothing to offer to anyone in this world,
when you think that you need money or things to make someone's day or life better,
remember that you have the most valuable present that you can offer to anyone,
you have kind words, 
words of advise, 
words of encouragement,
words of love,

Because that is the most valuable present you can give someone, a kind word.
It is something that will live on, after you in this world.

It isn't the smart people that rule the world, it is the people that are smart enough not to let the fear of risks stop them from achieving their dreams       (original write date Nov, 12, 09)

Dear Friend

            Hello My Dear Friend,

Hope you've been well. 

I know we don't have as much time

 as we would like to share together, 

       so I choose to write you this letter.

      I hope you are taking good care of yourself,

 because, my friend,

 this world is a better place because of you. 

                                       Sometimes, you may get caught up with everyday things,                                 sometimes you may not even know what day it is, 

but you do make a difference in this world.

              Each time we speak, you change the world. 

Sometimes just seeing your smile

 or knowing that I've made you smile, 

it makes a change in the world. 

I hope you are taking care of yourself,

 physically, mentally and spiritually,

 because I need you to be all together in case, 

I start falling apart. 

Or if I don't I need you to create more memories with you

to laugh about stupid things,

and to lie to each other just to make ourselves feel better,

I may need you to sometimes tell me the truth

that I don't want to admit,

or be my ear when I have nothing to say.

So take care of yourself my friend,

because no matter how far, or busy we are

You make this world a better place,

and I still need you!

            No one comes with these labels, and most of the time we cannot see the signs that are given to us, because we create illusions in our head about who the person really is. Learn to recognize the labels before they are revealed to you.

We must shed our bad habits,
Negative influences,
Rotten people,

Unless you eliminate bad there won't be space for good.

Believe my love, winter may be cold and lonely,
But spring always comes after.

Your mind is like a field,  and your ears are the seed for your field.
Even if you don't agree with everything you hear, it still plants a seed in your mind,

Just as you should be careful to what you hear,
be careful to what you may say.

The right kind of change

A man is a man,
No matter how good his mother raised him,
His wife will have to change him,
Change him into a good husband and a father that he can be.

But please dont change his style of music, 
Or his favorite food, or anything that makes 
him a man that you fell in love with.

Please do understand,  a man will change for 
one woman only, his right woman,
And it's not you, let him go.
Dont take offense to you,
Because you my dear will change too,
For one man only.
The right man. 

Own it

If you say you cannot do it, 
You are lying to yourself;

If you say you won't do it,
You are cheating on yourself; 

And if you simply give up,
You are stealing from yourself

You are the only one being truly affected
By not following your dreams and goals.

Your goals, your life, your happiness, 
You are the only ome who controls it.

Each struggle that we conquer is what makes us better at the end of it. So if it's a good challenge,  face it and face it fearlessly,  because it will make you that much better. Remember your challenges are your lessons in life.

People strive so bad to be a part of today's society, but if they took a second and considered seriously how bad the society today is, more people would love being outcasts.

To a good man

          To the one that realizes when to stop chasing nothings

and steps up and make her his queen,

         To the one that takes his woman's hand and walks with her,

not trying to lead her, change her or mold her, simply accept her,

        To the one that knows when to stop when he's wrong and simply

say I'm sorry and I'm wrong,

        To the one that put his family's needs before his own wants,

        To the one that respects his woman even when she's not around

to appreciate his respect towards her,

        To the one that understands that his wife only wants the best for him

despite how he may feel about it, and listens to her,

        To the one that is never too tired, too upset, or too lazy to hand her a glass

of water or stop by the store to get her her favorite fruits 

       To the one that randomly for no reason at all, buys her flowers, simply because he loves to see the smile on her face

      To the one that never lets his ego get in a way of what they have,

      To the one that doesn't mind learning how to dance, because she loves to dance,

      To the one that is never too tired to go to work so he can be the provider of everything she dreams of,

      To the one that doesn't think any less of her if she sheds a tear,

      To the one that may not understand why she does what she does but fully supports her in every way,

      To the one that never steps in the way of her dreams, even if they are random and strange to him,

      To the one that believes in "US" when she's ready to give up,

       To the one that knows that sometimes he is hard to deal with and appreciates her every second of dealing with him,

       To the one that respects the people who are important to her;

To the one who may not understand all of the sacrifices she makes for their family but still tries his best to appreciate her,

To the one that never stops telling her that she's beautiful, even on her worst day,

To the one that doesn't see it as "her duties or his duties",

       To the one that stands by her side, no matter what and who, because he understands that at the end of it all, it will be just the two of them,

      To all the wonderful men who choose to stand by their women, through the good, the bad, the storms and thunders, that don't get enough credit for everything they do each day. Not only for what they do for their women, but because they will raise another generation of men just like them or raise their daughters to be the as wonderful as their wives.  Not only married ones but the ones that are waiting to meet that special woman that deserves the best of them..........

Every bad thing in our life leads us into something better.
Your responsibility is to recognize it, capture it and savor it...

Never discourage a person who makes a small step towards accomplishment of something good even if they don't succeed, help them, encourage them. 
Just like a baby learning how to walk, we all will fall and get up again..as long as you keep getting up you are winning your battle.

A woman's true beauty

I didn't know my beauty 
until I saw the beauty in her,

I didn't care about my beauty
until I carried her,

I didn't acknowledge my beauty
until I saw her,

Before I had her the words
"You're beautiful" simply didn't enter my mind,
not because I lacked self-esteem, 
I was born with adequate amount of self-esteem,
but because I  didn't want to be judged by that.

During my pregnancy, 
I learned about the true beauty of my body,
during my pregnancy,
I felt like the most beautiful woman in the world,
but yet physically I was the heaviest and probably 
the least beautiful I've ever been,
but I felt so beautiful because I had the beauty in me. 

Now, I feel complete,
The word beauty has a different meaning,
Beauty is her being inside of me,
Beauty is her entrance to this world,
Beauty is her love,
Beauty is being her mother,
Beauty is being a woman! 

Road we call life

I am here walking the same road,
that someone before me once walked,

and the same road
that someone behind me will walk again

so why is it that, my dear friend,
we don't listen to each other? 

Life would be much simpler with a manual...they say.
But we have it all around us,

we just seem to think that our case is different,
our situation is different,
WE are different.....

No my dear, we are all the same.... 
our story is the same,
our cases are the same,
our feelings are the same,

if we only learn how to listen to each other....

The road wouldn't be so lonely 

Every goal, every dream, each destination is easy
only when we achieve it.
 Until then, keep your head up, mind,
heart n eyes open, and
 mouth closed as much as possible.

Don't be afraid to face your challenges, 
As hard as something may seem,

I still do...

And still like a child I allow myself to get excited about life,
about people and the beauty around me.
 I still giggle when I feel good and
scream when I hear something out of this world exciting...
 I've learned how to cry again... I forgot it for a while, but I've learned again...only this time I know how to control it and I only share tears of joy...
Just like your smile life can take away your tears...
 but learn to get them back because just like your smile
your tears can change someone's life.
I still genuinely enjoy when I see true love,
Or a small animal,
Or a baby learning something new,
I still genuinely enjoy that the grass is so green after the rain,
That the sky is blue,
Or that the ocean makes the beautiful sounds and smells so refreshing ,
I still genuinely believe that this world will
And can be a better place,
And I still believe that one day
I will turn the TV on and the truth will be told,
That one day people will not be afraid to express their true love,
I still believe that one day...
I still do....

Dance in the rain

Never be afraid to dance in the rain...
Dance and enjoy it,
Let your self go and enjoy it

But also know when it's time to go inside and look for shelter ;) 

Share....everything

Everything in life is temporary, as we know it so well,

So don't be afraid to share what you have and make a world a better place. 

If you are in love, don't be afraid to share it;

If you are financially confortable, share your wealth with those who have less;

If you have wisdom, don't be selfish with it, over your word of advise to someone who has closed eyes;

No matter what it is that you can share, share it with those around you,

and if all you can share is a smile, share it, for it is the least expensive gift you can give, it doesn't need extra work, just two muscles, and sometimes it's the smartest thing to give someone. 

So share....... and you will be richer too :)  The more you share the more you have

My New Year

Yet another beautiful morning,

Just like a perfect stone, we must go through changes, experience molding, give ourselves time, accept the hardships, surround ourselves with those that appreciate our value, in order to shine beautifully. Wisdom comes w experience, happiness is a choice

As hard as it may sometimes be, always remember that God created us all with our unique gifts. We all have something to offer to this world, to those around us.

As tempting as it may be to want to be something that someone else is, be your own. 
Not everyone is made to be a leader, 
not everyone is made to be a writer,
not everyone is made to be a model,
                            or  a photographer,
       or a teacher,
                           or a counselor,
       or wealthy,
                           or healthy,

but you can choose to be happy with what you have, 
your own individuality,
your own gift,
your own talent,

choose to be you! 
 Embrace your own individuality and share it with those around you!
