He never bought me flowers,
never said I care,
he never said I love you,
but he was always there.
He bought me mother's day presents
even though I wasn't a mother at the time,
he said " you are a mother to every child that comes your way"
He never promised me a future,
but conversations with him took me to a timeless place,
He knew how to tickle my mind,
played the songs of my heart,
he even danced to my favorite band.
He never claimed me by any titles,
he never let go of my hand,
He showed me some of the most beautiful places,
even though emotionally he wasn't there.
He always made me feel like a queen,
that should be with another man,
his heart wasn't with me
when he was my man.....
